How it all began!

Hello…My name is Lesley Holmes

I am the designer…cutter…patternmaking…sewer…seller…
marketing manager…etc…etc…here at Truessence Clothing.

I work from a beautiful space at Cooroy on the Noosa Hinterland in Qld. and love every minute of what I do (well…for the most part!)

I have been sewing since I was 12 years old, the skill having been passed down from both my grandmothers, to my mum, to myself, and now also, to my daughter.
I have always been involved with sewing in one way or another, whether it be teaching, private dressmaking….or running my own business

I moved to Qld. 25 years ago and started my other business & passion, Heritage Linen, which has been running very succesfully since 1992.
I found as I moved through in years, I was needing more of a challenge, and so Truessence Clothing came to fruition.

I now sell both Heritage Linen & Truessence Clothing through Eumundi Markets….and have been at the markets for over 20 years now!….I just love it, such a great atmosphere.

I have based my clothing designs using mainly natural fabrics, cottons, linens, rayons…fabrics that are cool,comfortable….breath…and move with you.

I hope you enjoy wearing my designs….as much as I enjoy making them!
